Our tool removes all EXIF metadata while preserving essential data like image orientation and color profiles, so your photos still display correctly.

What Gets Removed vs. Preserved

Removed: GPS coordinates, camera make/model, timestamps, serial numbers, software info, thumbnails, copyright info

Preserved: Image orientation (prevents wrong rotation), color profile (keeps colors accurate), image dimensions, actual pixel data

When Should You Remove EXIF Data?

Always remove EXIF data before:

  • Posting photos on social media (some platforms strip it, many don’t)
  • Sending photos to strangers via email or messaging apps
  • Uploading photos to forums or classified sites
  • Sharing photos in professional contexts (journalism, legal)
  • Submitting photos for contests or publications
